Our Inclusive Performing Arts HNC, delivered in collaboration with City and Islington College, provides a professionally-focused, community-embedded qualification, for moving into work or onto further study in areas such as applied theatre.

This course specialises in providing both performance and facilitation training that is fully relevant to the contemporary performing arts landscape. You will gain hands-on work experience in inclusive performing arts practice within and alongside your general programme of study, providing a unique insight into additional career routes within the performing arts industry. You will participate in Angel Shed’s weekly sessions as a practitioner, working with children and young people of all backgrounds and abilities, offering you the opportunity to learn from Angel Shed’s professional team and creatively apply your training in a real working context.

As part of this course, you will:

- learn physical and vocal performance skills;

- look in-depth at a range of acting and performance techniques;

- make creative work as part of a company;

- receive regular input from external practitioners and experts;

- take performance work out on tour to different communities;

- perform work that is responsive to current local, national and global issues.

This is a Level 4 qualification, equivalent to the first year of a degree at Higher Education. On completion of this course, students are able to access the second year of a degree at Royal Central School of Speech & Drama.
